From what I have heard most Yamaha riders begin with an R6 and make the natural transition to the Yamaha R1 when they are ready for more power. The bottom line is that an R6 is a nimble and light bike and the R1 has far more power — regardless though, they are both very fast and easy to maneuver bikes. I guess it just depends what you are in the market for or what your existing riding skills are like.

Mini crotch rockets have been growing in popularity for years now. They are pretty simple machines and much less complex than their larger brothers (the standard crotch rockets.) They are, however, sometimes almost identical in styling to large crotch rockets. I’ve seen mini honda cbr’s, suzuki gsxr’s, and even yamaha r1′s. Obviously, mini crotch rockets or pocket rockets are considered toys and should never been driven down roadways or among other vehicles. If you ride this little bikes responsibly there is really a ton of fun to be had. I’ve enjoyed riding my friends mini crotch rockets so much so that I’m in the market for one of my own soon. Just trying to find the extra cash to spend on it. Maybe my wife will surprise me one of these days! I’ve noticed the prices on them dropping pretty fast most likely due to the bad economy. I’m sure there are far less people buying toys like these right now.
Red Aprilia Mini Crotch Rocket
As far as the mechanics of a mini crotch rocket go they are quite straight forward. Most of these mini bikes have a small 50cc motor or similar and can’t usually go any faster than 25Mph. Believe me, that’s fast enough when you can’t maneuver that well and you’re sitting literally only a foot off the ground. For anyone who has driven a mini crotch rocket before, you know what I mean. It’s not the most comfortable thing to cruise around on. At the end of the day, these are flat out awesome toys for men (and we can even sometimes blame having them on the kids!)
